As of October 26th the Consular Section of the Lithuanian Embassy restores rendering its services to consular applicants (for Lithuanian Citizenship and Passports), we remind you that a visit to the Embassy is possible only upon appointment registered in http://il.mfa.lt/il/en/e-registration

The exception to the above rule is the collection of passports on Mondays - Thursdays 14:00 – 15:00.

Please arrive exactly according to the time of your registration and wear face mask.

ATTENTION: Applicants, whose visits could not take place due to suspension of reception during quarantine, will be served in the first place. Therefore, new appointment terms in the E-REGISTRATION calendar for January 2021 will be opened on 4th of November 2020.

On the occasion of the National Memorial Day for the Genocide of Lithuanian Jews, President of the Repubblic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda awarded the Life Saving Cross to persons who were saving Jewish people from Nazi genocide during the World War II. 44 people were awarded, with the majority of them posthumously. Their awards were presented to family members.

Due to the national lockdown in Israel, the Consular Section of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel will stop admitting applicants starting from 21 September 2020 until further notice.
The Consular Section will continue to assist Lithuanian citizens only in emergency cases.

Please be informed that the registration for consular appointments for getting a national visa D (for students) starts on 27 July 2020.

Note: the registration will not be open if the Embassy of Lithuania is closed due to the COVID-19 situation.

April 23 is the 300th birth anniversary of Elijah ben Solomon Zalman, a world-famous Torah and Talmudic interpreter, also known as the Vilna Gaon. President Gitanas Nausėda and President of Israel Reuven Rivlin had a video call to mark the occasion.

On the occasion of 300th birth anniversary of the great rabbi of Lithuania and outstanding personality - Vilna Gaon - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Lithuania Yossef Levi and Chairwoman of the Community of Lithuanian Jews Faina Kukliansky paid respect at his grave in the Sudervė Cemetery in Vilnius.

On 21 April Ambassador Lina Antanavičienė took part at the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies organized by Association of Jews from Vilna and Vicinity at Kyriat Shaul cemetery and by Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel at the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery in Tel Aviv.

Due to the epidemiological threat of the Covid-19 virus, with the aim of limiting the risk of virus spread and taking into account the countermeasures imposed by the Israeli authorities, the Consular Section of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel will stop admitting applicants starting from 17 March 2020 until further notice.

The above applies both to the admittance of new applications and to the collection of documents in cases already submitted. The Consular Section will continue to assist Lithuanian citizens only in emergency cases.

Due to the global spread of Covid-19, the Government of Lithuania introduced a Quarantine starting at 00:00, March 16, Monday, to slow down the virus. This will also affect foreign nationals.
