Writer Grigoryi Kanovich awarded Grand Cross of Commander of the Order for Merits to Lithuania

On February 25, 2015 one of the most prominent modern Jewish writers of Lithuania Grigoryi Yaakov Kanovich has been awarded the Grand Cross of Commander of the Order for Merits to Lithuania.
The ceremony took place at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art during the celebration of restoration of Lithuania‘s statehood and 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of the independence of the Republic of Lithuania. The award was presented by the Ambassador of Lithuania in State of Israel Mr. Edminas Bagdonas.
