Ambassador E. Bagdonas visited Bnei Brak
Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Edminas Bagdonas visited Bnei Brak and met with the Mayor Chanoch Zaibart and Deputy Mayor Rabbi Avraham Rubinshtein. A wide range issues related to cooperation with Lithuania have been discussed.
Ganzach Kiddush Hashem archives were also visited. Director General David Sakolski and Member of the Council Chana Rotenberg told about the activities of the archives and about life of Jews in Kaunas ghetto.
A history of the establishment of the Ponevez Yeshiva was introduced to the Representatives of Lithuania‘s Embassy, they also visited facilities of the Yeshiva and discussed with the students. Ponevez Yeshiva is the most respectable institution of Jewish religious studies with enrolment of more than 3 thousand students from around the world.
