An exceptional exhibition “Academié de Vilna”
We are happy to spread the word and invite all of those visiting Vilnius: An exceptional exhibition “Academié de Vilna”, curated by dr. Jolanta Širkaitė and dedicated to Vilnius drawing school (1866-1951), is opening at the Lithuanian National Gallery on October 5.
We are happy to have been a part of this beautiful endeavor of cooperation between the National Gallery and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, in bringing two pieces by Abel Pann and the Chaim Soutine’s masterpiece “Boy in blue” (1924) that is sure to take the front stage of the whole exposition.
The opening will be accompanied by the international conference on October 6, presenting a plethora of distinguished speakers, who will present papers analyzing the legacy and international impact of the Vilnius drawing school and its pupils.
