Big number of Lithuanian companies participate in Israfood 2014
A large group of Lithuanian companies are participating in international exhibition Israfood 2014 which was opened on 25th of November in Tel Aviv. By a number of participating companies Lithuania is a clear leader among foreign countries. Two companies from food industry, Marijampolės pieno konservai and Italiana LT, exhibit a wide range of milk products and alcohol beverages.
Special attention this year is given to present a huge potential of Lithuania’s transport sector, especially road carriers, which plays important role in European international trade. Lithuanian National Road Carriers Association LINAVA and 18 transport companies expect to broaden cooperation with Israeli freight forwarders and play more important role in Israeli – European trade, especially in food products.
When visiting Israfood 2014, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Edminas Bagdonas expressed his strong belief that business ties between Israel and Lithuania could be considerably expanded into new fields. International experience of Lithuania’s transportation and logistics companies, both in Western and Eastern markets, could be and should be exploited for mutual benefits of both countries.
