Commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day
On 2nd May ambassador Edminas Bagdonas took part at the Holocaust Remembrance Day event organized by Association of Jews from Vilna and Vicinity at Kyriat Shaul cemetery.
On behalf of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel ambassador laid a wreath in memory of victims of the Holocaust. The ceremony was attended by Holocaust survivors and their families, members of Association of Jews from Vilna and Vicinity, representatives of IDF.
On the same day ambassador of Lithuania took part at the memorial service of the Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery in Tel Aviv. The memorial ceremony was organized by Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel. The ceremony was attended by Holocaust survivors and their families, leaders and members of Association of Jews of Lithuania, students from Remez school of Bnei Brak.
