Commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day

On 8 April Lithuanian ambassador in Israel Lina Antanavičienė participated in Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies in Kiryat Shaul and Nahalat Yitzhak Cemeteries in Tel Aviv, organized by the Association of Jews from Vilna and Vicinity and by the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel.
"Today, on the Day of Yom HaShoah, we, Lithuanians, remember with a sense of deep responsibility, more than 200 thousands Lithuanian Jews brutally murdered on the soil of Lithuania. Today we all pay respect to the memory of six million Jews killed on European soil during the darkest hours of humankind" - said the ambassador.
