Commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Kaunas Ghetto Great Action

Lithuanian ambassador to Israel Lina Antanavičienė participated at the ceremony dedicated to commemorate the victims of Kaunas Ghetto Great Action, which happened 80 years ago. The event in Tel Aviv was organized by the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel.

The ambassador, together with the members of local Litvak community, payed respects to the Holocaust victims. "As we commemorate the insurmountable pain and horror, that happened 80 years ago in Kaunas, we must prove by one’s everyday actions that above all we commit to preserve and honor the memory of the victims and we pledge to protect our fellow humans from anything similar happening, be they different from us in their ethnicity, religion, race or any other aspect" - said the ambassador.
