COMMEMORATIVE EVENT DEDICATED TO THE HOLOCAUST MARTYRS' AND HEROES REMEMBRANCE DAY

On April 16, 2007 the Embassy of Lithuania in Israel took part in the commemorative events dedicated to the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day. A special ceremony was arranged by the Association of Jews from Vilna and Vicinity in Israel at the Kyriat Shaul cemetery where there is a monument to the Ponar Holocaust victims. The memory of those perished in the Catastrophe was honored in the presence of Mrs Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene, Ambassador of Lithuania and presided by Mr. Michael Shemiavitz, Chairman of the Association.
