ECONOMIC COOPERATION BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND ISRAEL CONTINUE TO GROW RAPIDLY IN 2012
The trade between Lithuanian and Israel continue to grow rapidly in 2012 and increased by 18 per cent compared to 2011 and totalled 42 million EUR.
The statistics indicate that the Lithuanian exports to Israel have doubled pre-crises levels and totalled 27 million EUR in 2012. Import from Israel to Lithuania increased by 30 per cent and totalled 15 million EUR.
“Statistics Lithuania” indicates that export of livestock accounted for 40 per cent of all Lithuania’s exports to Israel in 2012. Foodstuffs, furniture and biotech industry products are other major export commodities to Israel. The major import commodities from Israel to Lithuania include chemical and biotech industry products, medical equipment and fruits.
