EMBASSY OF LITHUANIA IN TEL AVIV CONGRATULATED WRITER I.MERAS ON THE OCCASION OF HIS ANNIVERSARY

On 8 October 2009 the Embassy of Lithuania in Tel Aviv congratulated famous Lithuanian writer I.Meras on the occasion of his 75-th birthday. Residing for more than 30 years in Israel, I.Meras writes in Lithuanian, maintains close relations with Lithuania, takes great interest in political and cultural life of Lithuania. Lithuanian

Ambassador D. Degutis expressed his sincere gratitude for I.Meras’ merits in promoting Lithuanian Israeli cooperation, recalled his endevours in representing Lithuania in Israel after restoration of Lithuania’s independence in 1990.
