EXHIBITION OF VILNA GHETTO POSTERS
Exhibition of Vilna Ghetto posters “Jewish spiritual resistance” will be opened on Wednesday, 13 April 2011 at 18:30 at the CAMERI Theater (18 Shaul Hamelech Blvd).
The exhibition is organized within the framework of the programme of the Year 2011 which was declared by the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania the Year of Remembrance of Holocaust Victims.
During the opening of the exhibition the Righteous Among the Nations the late Elena Laurinavičienė of Lithuania and her children who risked their lives to save Jews during World War II will be honoured.
Tel Aviv Cameri theater which is performing the Joshua Sobol’s play “Ghetto”, directed by Omri Nitzan, the Cameri's artistic Director, telling the story of a theater in the Vilna Ghetto between 1942-1943 has kindly agreed to host the exhibition of the Vilna Ghetto posters. The exhibition is the property of the Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum of Lithuania.
