First Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel P.J. Misiūnas passed away

The staff of the Embassy of Lithuania in Israel expresses its deepest condolences on the death of the first Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Romualdas Jonas Misiūnas.

From 1996 to 2001, R. J. Misiūnas served as the Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel and made a significant contribution to the development of Lithuania's bilateral relations with Israel and other Middle East countries, being the only Lithuanian diplomatic representative in the region at that time.
