Human Rights Day in Tel Aviv
In order to mark upcoming Human Rights Day ambassador Edminas Bagdonas participated in a number of events. On December 7th together with the EU ambassadors he visited Bialik-Rogozin school. The school is funded by the municipality and various donors. Most of the students are from underprivileged families, many of whom are immigrants and refugees. The school main objective is to provide these underprivileged students with opportunity to develop their potential. Ambassadors met with leadership, teachers and children of the school.
On December 8 ambassador Edminas Bagdonas at the EU Delegation together with other EU ambassadors met with Mengistu family. Abraham Mengistu has been missing for over three years having crossed into the Gaza Strip and apparently held in a very clear violation of his human rights. Ambassador by meeting Mengistu family showed support for Abraham Mengistu and his family.
