ISRAEL IS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING TOURISM TO LITHUANIA

During today’s meeting with the Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Minister of Tourism of Israel Mr. S. Misezhnikov expressed his high appreciation of the cooperation with Lithuania. The Minister noted that Israelis interest in Lithuania is growing steadily. Israel also welcomes the growth of tourists from Lithuania. It was noted that the tourism to Lithuania from Israel increased by 62% in the past year. Direct flights from Tel Aviv to Vilnius during the summer period were highly successful.

It was noted that new opportunities will open up for tourism development during the Lithuanian presidency of the European Council in 2013.

Ambassador D. Degutis invited the representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and Israeli companies to participate in tourism exhibition VIVATTUR2013 which will be held in Vilnius in February 2013.
