ISRAELI VENTURE CAPITAL FUNDS ARE LOOKING FOR INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN LITHUANIA

On 10 - 12 April 2014 representatives of Israeli venture capital funds and angel investor groups participated in the LOGIN conference, which took place in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Israeli businessmen met with the executives of Lithuanian governmental agencies “Enterprise Lithuania” and “Invest Lithuania”, and startup companies, which are looking to attract venture capital.

On 11 April 2014, Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association hosted the round table discussion, during which Lithuanian and Israeli VC funds discussed the possibilities for mutual cooperation. It was noted, that there already are examples of successful cooperation. In March 2014 it was announced, that Lithuanian company “TrackDuck” secured a seed €200,000 from Israeli – French Venture Capital fund “Kima Ventures” and “Practica Capital”. This was the first “Kima Ventures” investment in Lithuania ever and its first joint investment with “Practica Capital”.

The visit of the Israeli delegation was organized by Lithuanian Embassy in Israel and governmental agency “Enterprise Lithuania”.
