ISRAEL‘S FOREIGN MINISTER A. LIBERMAN: „CLOSE COOPERATION BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND ISRAEL CONFIRM OUR SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP“

On 4 March 2014 Lithuanian Ambassador in Israel D. Degutis met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel A. Liberman.

During the meeting A. Liberman noted that significant achievements in development of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Israel have been made during the recent years: both countries are united by full mutual understanding and close relations in many areas. The volume of trade and tourism is constantly growing. “It confirms successful partnership of Lithuania and Israel”, Foreign Minister said. A. Liberman congratulated Lithuania on becoming a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and expressed his appreciation for the Lithuanian contribution to development of the EU relations with Israel during the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

 

D. Degutis acquainted Minister with the latest high-tech investment projects, achievements in developing cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, with the rapid development of bilateral tourism and trade and new partnerships between the Lithuanian and Israeli cities.

 

During the meeting A. Liberman and D. Degutis also discussed the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East peace process and other regional developments.
