LITHUANIAN BUSINESSMEN ARE THE MOST ACTIVE IN THE EU BUSINESS MISSION TO ISRAEL
On 21-23 October the EU business mission to Israel, led by Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC, responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship, is taking place. Vice – President is accompanied by 55 industry associations and companies from 17 EU member states. Lithuanian businessmen are the most active participants in the EU business mission – 14 Lithuanian companies representing IT, real estate, energy, cargo, food and other industries came to Israel to establish business contacts.
On 21 October Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Darius Degutis and Commercial Attache Kristina Biraitė met with Lithuanian businessmen. During the meeting business opportunities between Israel and Lithuania have been discussed. D. Degutis noted that economic cooperation between Lithuania and Israel is a top priority for the Embassy. Ambassador extended his encouragement to Lithuanian companies to expand their cooperation with Israel and to be more active in entering new, promising markets in South Africa and other African states.
On 22-23 October Lithuanian delegation will meet Israeli President Shimon Peres, ministers, leaders of Israel’s business organizations, local businessmen.
Lithuanian business delegation is organized by Eastern Europe Partnership and Investment Association.
