LITHUANIAN CAKE “ŠAKOTIS” BAKED IN ISRAEL IMPRESSED GUESTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FESTIVAL
On 12 May the representatives of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel participated in the International Day festival, organized by the American International School. The Lithuanian stand, decorated with bright and playful balloons of the Lithuanian national flag colors, attracted numerous visitors. The event was attended by some two thousand guests.
Guests were astonished by almost a meter tall Lithuanian cake “Šakotis”, and praised the Lithuanian chocolates. “Šakotis” was baked by Remigijus Kijauskas who lives in Israel, and the chocolates were provided by a famous Lithuanian confectionery factory AB “Vilniaus pergalė”.
At the event, the family of the counselor of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel A. Baltušis presented our country's tourism opportunities, economic achievements, and the upcoming presidency of the EU.
A total of twenty eight countries were represented at the event.
