Lithuanian companies presented the latest products and technologies in Israel

Lithuanian companies participated in one of the world largest life science exhibitions BIOMED 2015 taking place in Tel Aviv on the 12-14 of May. Along with the well-known companies from more than 40 countries 6 Lithuanian companies („Biotechpharma“, „Biomapas“, „Baltic Orthoservice“, „Integrated Optics“, „Satimed“, VMTI „Inovatyvios medicinos centras“) are presenting their latest products and technologies. A wide range of products, including lasers, biotechnology products, services in clinical trials, etc. were displayed for visitors.

On 13 May the Lithuanian Embassy together with the export promotion agency Enterprise Lithuania organized a seminar for representatives of local business and science community. The latest developments in Lithuanian economy and life sciences industry as well as next life sciences forum in Vilnius “Life Sciences Baltics 2016” were introduced.

Also, Enterprise Lithuania signed a protocol of understanding with Israeli Federation of the Chambers of Commerce (FICC) which is expected to give a new momentum for development of bilateral business ties. Further cooperation plans were discussed in a separate meeting between Vice Minister of Economy Rasa Noreikienė and Vice President of the FICC Arie Zief.

Broad participation of Lithuanian companies in the exhibition reflects bilateral interest and growing cooperation between Lithuania and Israel in the field of life sciences. 120 bussinessmen and researchers from Israel took part in the first forum Life Sciences Baltic 2012 and the number of participants from Israel already increased to more than 150 in 2014.
