LITHUANIAN “MACCABI” TEAM WON MEDALS OF THREE COLOUR

Swimmer of Lithuanian “Maccabi” team Ela Pavinskienė, participating in the 18th World Maccabiah Games taking place in Israel, has won gold medal in 100 meter breaststroke swimming, silver medal in masters’ relay frestyle 4x50 meters and bronze medal in 50 meter freestyle swimming. Lithuanian futsal ( indoors football) team are the winners of the high 6th place in the competition of 15 teams.

5,5 thousand sportsmen from 55 countries and 2 thousand sportsmen from Israel participate in the World Maccabiah Games. Lithuania is represented by 18 sporstmen from Lithuanian “Maccabi” sports club.

Ambassador of Lithuania in the State of Israel Darius Degutis congratulated the winner of the medals Ela Pavinskiene and all Lithuanian “Maccabi” club sportsmen on their achievements.
