On Monday, 23 February 2009, at 9.00 p.m Lithuanian modern dance performances “Salamandra’s dream. Picture” and “Trimax. Three movements” will be presented at Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv.
In 2007 “Salamandra’s dream. Picture” was awarded two prestigious Lithuanian national performing arts prizes –for the best debut and the best music. The performance has been travelling extensively since then – including such venues as The Place in London and Internationale Tanzmesse NRW in Dusseldorf as well as numerous festivals. Salamandra is performed by one of the most prominent Lithuanian young dancers Lora Juodkaitė.
In “Trimax. Three movements” – a live music and dance performance. Lora Juodkaitė together with two ballet dancers Igoris Zaripovas and Andrius Žužžalkinas are personifying three physical states of water and turning them into metaphor.
Lithuanian modern dance presentation is a joint project of Suzanne Dellal Center, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and Embassy of Lithuania in the State of Israel.
