LITHUANIAN MUSICIAN WON A SECOND PLACE IN THE INTERNATIONAL HARP CONTEST IN TEL AVIV
On December 6, 2012, the eighteenth International Harp Contest took place in Tel Aviv. The International Harp Contest is held in Israel since 1959. The graduate of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art Agnė Keblytė who now continues her studies in Brussels, participated in this year’s International Harp Contest in Tel Aviv. Lithuanian musician’s performance in the Tel Aviv Harp Contest was a great success – A. Keblytė won a second place in the contest (first place was taken by the French, and the third – by the Japanese representative). The Lithuanian harpist A. Keblytė was congratulated by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Darius Degutis.
27 artists from 15 countries competed in the eighteenth International Harp Contest. The competent jury led by the distinguished conductor, Art Director of the Israeli National Philharmonic Orchestra Zubin Mehta. The participants of the contest were accompanied by the Israeli National Philharmonic Orchestra.
