On February 16 Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the State of Israel arranged a festive commemoration of the 91st anniversary of the restoration of the State of Lithuania. Knesset members, Government representatives, business, culture and academic elite, diplomatic corps, journalists and Lithuanian community guests have gathered to celebrate Lithuanian National holiday. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania R.Kvietkauskas participated in the event together with a great number of Lithuanian writers, poets, historians and intellectuals who came to Israel to participate at the international Jerusalem book fair.
Lithuanian ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė congratulated everybody on the occasion of the National holiday and expressed her sincerest gratitude for support, warmth and friendship which she experienced in Israel in the capacity of the Ambassador of Lithuania. This was the ambassador’s farewell evening.
