LITHUANIAN REPRESENTATIVE PARTICIPATES AT THE EXHIBITION "SAUNDS AND VISIONS"

On 6 February 2009 the exhibition „Sounds and Visions“ is opening at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

„Sounds and Visions“ is a tribute of the European Union countries to Tel Aviv Centennial.

„Sounds and Visions” brings the Israeli public into contact with Europe's social and cultural landscape, in all their diversity of history, tradition and culture, bringing together different worlds in a mix of video clips and sound effects. Through the universal languages of music and images, scattered fragments can be gathered and recomposed into a possible common meaning.  These new forms of dialogue and encounter invite us to communicate with reality in a new way.

World-famous video artist, the winner of  the  Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize and The Vincent van Gogh Biennial Award for Contemporary Art 2008 Deimantas Narkevičius represents Lithuania at the exhibition „Sounds and Visions“  with his film  Revisiting Solaris.

The exhibition will be opened till 8 March 2009.
