  On 22 June 2014 at the Tel Aviv Music Conservatory Hall a Lithuanian soprano Juratė Švedaitė performed at a concert "Evening Prayer", attended by numerous chamber music lovers.

Almost two hour concert featured soprano, piano and violin and included works by Bach, Mozart, Verdi, Massenet, de Falla, Gershwin, Weisenberg. The audience especially warmly received works by Lithuanian composers B. Dvarionas and J. Švedas, who are less known In Israel. The Lithuanian soprano presenting the works of Lithuanian composers even translated the lyrics, therefore, the audience was fascinated not only by her vocal artistry but also by her talent to reveal the literaty idea of the piece.

The creative friendship of the instrumental duo "The Duo Lorenzen” and the Lithuanian soprano J. Švedaitė started a year ago in Italy. The family of musicians – pianist BatiaLorenzen-Steinbock, a prize-winner of many international piano and chamber music competitions, and violinist Eckert Lorenzen, a Concertmaster of the Israel Symphony Orchestra RishonLeZion – were impressed by the excellence of the Lithuanian artist, a granddaughter of legendary Lithuanian composer Jonas Švedas, and invited her to prepare a series of concerts „With music around the world“. "The program, which was premiered in Tel Aviv, the performers will present this summer in Italy and the United States.

Lithuanian soprano Jurate Švedaite graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, has performed throughout Europe and the United States with the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, Kaunas Chamber Orchestra,Connecticut Lyric Opera, and others. Jūratė Švedaitė now lives in the United States, teaches vocal at the Connecticut College and Thames Valley Music School, and performs throughout Europe and USA.
