LITHUANIAN STUDENT TEAM PARTICIPATES IN THE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN ISRAEL

The Lithuanian Student Team participated in the Friendship Basketball Tournament held on June 1-8, 2007 in Israel. The tournament included teams from the Middle East, Europe (Lithuania, Poland, Serbia), Africa and Asia. The Lithuanian Student Team featured a high profile game and lost only to their Serbian adversaries.
In the finals and the closing ceremony the Israel Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres, the Lithuanian and Serbian ambassadors, the President of the Israel Olympic Committee took part. Shimon Peres wished a lot of success to the Lithuanian basketball players in the future.
