LITHUANIA'S ENERGY COMPANIES TO STUDY POSSIBILITIES TO COOPERATE WITH ISRAELI BUSINESSES
Lithuania’s state-owned energy companies shall work out a clear plan specifying the projects, which they could implement in cooperation with Israeli high-tech companies, by the end of the year, Energy Minister Arvydas Sekmokas said at Tuesday’s meeting with Shalom Simhon, the Israeli Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, in Tel Aviv on November 15.
“Our delegation met with Israeli high-tech companies. The Lithuanian companies will have to provide a clear plan, which common solutions are possible in Lithuania, by the end of the year,” the Energy Ministry quoted Sekmokas as saying in a press release.
“I remember a huge Lithuania’s map with strategic energy projects, which I saw in your ministry. The purpose of those projects is to safeguard and protect Lithuania. Israel is facing the same challenges. Hence we have experience, innovative solutions and can offer them to Lithuania,” Simhon said.
Sekmokas-led delegation closed a three-day working visit to Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The delegation also met with Uzi Landau, the Israeli Minister of National Infrastructure, and visited high-tech companies Computerized Electricity Systems, Panoramic Power, QIC Izrael and Greenlet Technologies.
