LITHUANIA'S STATEHOOD DAY CELEBRATED IN TEL AVIV

On 8 July 2014 despite the increased tensions and amid air raid sirens the Statehood Day of Lithuania was celebrated in Tel Aviv. Numerous guests of the event, prominent politicians, business representatives, diplomatic corps and representatives of the Lithuanian community in Israel, on behalf of the State of Israel were greeted by the Foreign Minister of Israel A. Liberman and the Minister of Strategic Affairs and Intelligence Y. Steinitz.

In his speech Foreign Minister A. Liberman said that the Lithuanian-Israeli relations are very good and Lithuania is one of the best Israeli partner abroad. A. Liberman also confirmed Israel's plans to open the Embassy in Lithuania in the nearest future.
