On 17th of September 2008, mayor of Kaunas, the second biggest city of Lithuania, Andrius Kupčinskas visited Embassy.
During the meeting possibilities of cities twinning between Kaunas and Israeli cities have been discussed. Mayor Andrius Kupčinskas informed about the infrastructure projects which are being developed in Kaunas and about the memorial which will be built in honor of the people who saved lives of Jews in Lithuania during the Holocaust.
Mayor of Kaunas Andrius Kupčinskas participates in the 26th Jerusalem Conference of Mayors, which take place on September 14-18.
