MEETING WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND SPORT

On 16 August 2010 Ambassador Darius Degutis had a meeting with the director general of the Ministry of culture and sport of Israel Mrs. Orly Froman.

During the meeting possibilities for cooperation between Lithuania and Israel in the fields of sport and culture were discussed.

Ambassador informed director general that Lithuanian culture is actively being represented in Israel. During the last year two Lithuanian plays appeared onstage, the exhibitions and other cultural events took place. Parties have exchanged the ideas about encouraging cooperation and contacts between the artists.

Israeli side invited Lithuanian sportsmen to participate in the games and open water swims that take place in Israel. The parties also discussed the possibility to exchange training facilities.
