MEETING WITH JERUSALEM HEBREW UNIVERSITY‘S VICE-RECTOR

On March 3 ambassador Darius Degutis visited the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and met with university‘s vice-rector, Prof. Yaacov Schul. During the meeting, the cooperation opportunities with Lithuanian universities were discussed, including faculty and student exchanges, joint scientific projects. Hebrew University expressed a strong interest in teaching Lithuanian language, inviting specialists from Lithuania. Vice-rector Schul was also interested in the possibility for the university students to take Lithuanian language summer course in Vilnius. Hebrew University is also looking for partners in Lithuania for joint history projects.

Hebrew University Faculty of Humanities is actively developing cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries and is looking forward to establish strong ties with Vilnius and Kaunas universities.
