MEETING WITH MAYOR OF RAANANA

On 10 November 2009 Ambassador Darius Degutis had a meeting with Mayor of Ranana Nahum Hofree.

Raanana is a town close to Tel Aviv, well known for high quality of life, active community and cultural life. Many emigrants from Lithuania live in Raanana.

Town has an industrial zone in which many high-tech companies have their offices, among them “Hewlett-Packard”, “Amdocs” and “NICE Systems”. “Microsoft's” head office in Israel is also located in the town.

Ambassador discussed with the Mayor possibilities for cooperation between Raanana and Lithuanian cities.
