MEETING WITH THE HEADS OF THE JEWISH HERITAGE CENTRE IN JERUSALEM

On 22 January 2007 in Jerusalem Ambassador A.Skaisgirytė Liauškienė has met the Head of Jewish Heritage Centre. The Centre is safeguarding the Torah scrolls donated by Lithuania during the period of 2002-2003.

Torah scrolls from Lithuania are exhibited together with the Vilnius Jewish Culture exposition “Vilna as a metaphor of Jewish identity”. This permanent exposition is the newest project of the Jewish Heritage Centre to become an attraction centre for all interested in the history of the Jewish Culture.
