MEETING WITH THE ISRAEL MINISTER OF INDUSTRY, TRADE AND LABOUR

On June 12, 2007 the Ambassador of Lithuania to Israel Mrs. Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene met with the . The issues of bilateral trade and investment were discussed during the meeting. The fact that during the year 2006 trade volume increased by 100% shows the genuine interest of both sides to intensify commercial contacts. The Minister pointed out that the governmental Agreement on avoidance of double taxation which have come into force in 2007 favours investment conditions in these two countries. The Ambassador informed the Minister on the progress in creation of Bilateral Israel - Lithuania Chamber of Commerce and the upcoming visit of the Israeli businessmen to Lithuania in September.
