NCSEJ Condemns Pro-Russian Separatist Leaders Rant Against Jews in Ukraine
WASHINGTON, D.C., February 3, 2015 - NCSEJ strongly condemns the appalling anti-Semitic remarks by pro-Russian separatist leaders Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotinsky in eastern Ukraine yesterday.
During a press conference broadcast on Russian TV, Zakharchenko and Plotinsky disparaged Ukrainian government leaders as "miserable representatives of the great Jewish people" and said that Ukraine nationalists "would turn in their graves if they could see who is running Ukraine."
These cynical attempt to inject anti-Semitism into an already volatile conflict must be rejected by all sides.
