NEW HONORARY CONSUL OF LITHUANIA STARTED HIS TENURE IN JERUSALEM
On 22 June in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel in a solemn ceremony attended by the Viceminister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Asta Skaisgirytė –Liauškienė the newly apppointed Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Jerusalem Mr. Amono Dotan was presented Consular Patent and a Letter of Exequatur.
Viceminister Asta Skaisgirytė-Liauškienė expressed hope that the skills and experience of Mr.Amnon Dotan would be useful for the development of business and science relations between Lithuania and Israel, as well as for the presentation of Lithuanian culture and attracting new business partners to Lithuania.
The newly appointed Honorary Consul of Lithuania is a well known Israeli businessman, Chairman of the Israel Federation of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce and Industry. In recognition of his life’s work in the industrial sector of Israel he was awarded by the President of Israel with “Industry Award”, received the title of OBE from Her Majesty Queen of England for outstanding contribution to the economic ties between the two countries.
