NOVATURAS WILL BE FLYING TO EILAT RESORT IN ISRAEL

5 August 2010, Vilnius. Novaturas, the largest travel organiser in the Baltic States, yesterday, during the event in Vilnius, to the media and representatives of travel agencies presented the main novelty of the coming winter tourism season – recreation trips to Eilat, the resort of Israel. The flights to Eilat are planned in October and November of 2010.

“The market needs something new, especially during the winter tourism season, when the number of offered destinations decreases due to climate conditions and the limited offer of commercially attractive countries. Feeling the tourists' interest in Israel, we decided to offer trips to the Eilat resort. It is an exceptional place for recreation and cannot be compared to any other winter season travel destination,” said Marius Horbačauskas, the CEO of Novaturas.

Michael Chen, the Attaché for Israel Tourism, who came to present the trips to Eilat organised by Novaturas, said that the largest number of tourists – 13 thousand – have come from Lithuania to Israel in 2008. However, in the first half of the year 2010, the tourist flow from Lithuania to Israel grew by more than 70 percent. Mr. Chen believes that the tourists from Lithuania having visited Eilat, will wish to return there again and again.

According to Mr. Horbačauskas, the trips to Eilat should interest the lovers of both active and peaceful leisure as well as families with children. Novaturas is planning the first flight to Eilat on 6 October 2010. In total, 8 flights are scheduled for October and November.

Novaturas, operating in the three Baltic States, will also offer flights to Eilat in Estonia. The tourists of Latvia will be able to choose the flights to Eilat from Lithuania or Estonia.
