On 17 June 2009 the concert of two distinguised performers born in Lithuania Dr. Zecharia Plavin (piano) and prof. Raimondas Butvila (violin) took place in Felicja Blumental Music Center and Library in Tel Aviv. Zecharia Plavin – lecturer at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, performer and musicologist. R.Butvila – professor at Colegio Emil Friedman Conservatory at Caracas university in Venezuela. Both musicians are participants and prizewinners of numerous international contests.

In the programme of the concert romantic music of the beginning of the XXth century composed by the composers who lived (Kazimieras Viktoras Banaitis ir Rued Langaard) or created their music (Ernest Bloch ir Johannes Brahms) in the countries at the Baltic Sea was performed. The musicians introduced the composers and the pieces of music they were going to perform.

On 22 June 2009 radio- live series recording of the same programme will take place in Henry Crown Symphony Hall in Jerusalem. Viceminister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Ms. Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė  will introduce the programme of the concert and the performers.

Concerts were organized by the Embassy of Lithuania in Tel Aviv in collaboration with Felicja Blumental Music Center and performers.
