PHOTOGRAPHERS FROM LITHUANIA FEATURED IN THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION IN ISRAEL
On 20 March 2014 the opening of the fifth international photography exhibition "World through woman's eyes” took place at the Cultural Centre of Haifa. The exhibition was organized by Haifa Municipality in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Immigration and Absorption and Haifa Society of Amateur Photographers. Works of 170 artists from all over the world were featured in the exhibition, including eleven amateur photographers from Lithuania.
Counsellor of the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel Violeta Popovaitė welcomed the audience and emphasized the importance of developing cultural relations between Lithuania and Israel. V. Popovaitė also said that cultural ties contribute to the development of informal contacts between the people of both countries and deepening of mutual understanding.
