Potential of Lithuanian road carriers is presented to Israeli companies
Lithuanian National Road Carriers Association LINAVA had meetings with a number of Israel’s business organizations including Manufacturers Association of Israel, Israel Road Transport Board and Israeli Federation of International Freight Forwarders and Customs clearing agents during 2 days visit to Israel.
Lithuania‘s advantages and fast growing transportation and logistics sector were presented during the meetings. Discussions on a number of issues related to development of bilateral cooperation in transport area facilitated identification of common points of interest.
Israeli companies need fast, reliable and cost effective transportation of Israeli goods from European ports to final destinations in the EU and further East. On other hand, Lithuanian land transport and logistics companies have a huge potential to serve the needs of Israel international trade by providing complex services of transportation, customs clearance, storage and distribution.
Due to its geographical position and experience both in Western and Eastern markets Lithuania has become a strong player on the European market (9th place in land freight transportation among 28 EU Member States) and 90 percent of freight goes to international destinations.
