PRESIDENT OF THE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF ISRAEL CALLS FOR STRENGHTENING OF THE RELATIONS WITH LITHUANIA
On 23 February 2012 Ambassador of Lithuania to the State of Israel Darius Degutis had a meeting with the President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel Zvi Oren. During the meeting a further development of bilateral economic cooperation was discussed. It was noted that in 2011 a trade between the countries increased by more than 60% and tourism flows increased by 20%. The President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel proposed to arrange a Lithuanian business seminar in Israel, emphasizing the mutual interest in high-tech and innovation field. Z. Oren believes that this seminar would attract a great attention among Israeli businessmen. It was agreed that the opening of Lithuanian commercial attaché office in Tel Aviv and launching of direct flights between Tel Aviv and Vilnius will contribute significantly for further promotion of business cooperation between Israel and Lithuania.
