PRESIDENT OF THE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF ISRAEL EXPRESSES HIS SATISFACTION WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC RELATIONS WITH LITHUANIA
On 2nd August 2012 Ambassador of Lithuania in Israel Darius Degutis and Commercial Attache Kristina Biraitė met with the President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel Zvi Oren and Director of International Relations & Trade of MAI Dan Catarivas.
Z. Oren expressed his appreciation that Lithuanian – Israeli economic ties are developing very well. It was noted that in 2011 trade between two countries increased by more than 60% .
The President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel noted his approval of cooperation with Lithuanian Industrialists Association and proposed to prepare bilateral action plan for further boosting economic cooperation.
During the meeting special emphasis was placed on international Life Science Baltics event which will take place in Lithuania in September 2012. 100 Israelis will participate at the event, forum will be opened by 2009 Nobel Prize winner Ada Yonath. Ambassador Degutis extended the invitation to the President of Israel‘s Manufacturers Association to join the Israeli delegation.
