PRIME MINISTER HAS EXPRESSED GREETINGS TO ISRAEL ON THE OCCASION OF THE DAY OF INDEPENDENCE

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has extended congratulations to Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel.

The Lithuanian Prime Minister said that strong historical and cultural ties linking Lithuania and Israel contribute successfully to the development of relations between our countries and their people.

“I strongly believe that our cooperation will continue to be based on the principles of understanding, friendship, openness, and democracy”, reads Prime Minister’s congratulatory letter, wishing the people of Israel peace, security, and prosperity.
