SPEAKER OF THE ISRAELI KNESSET SAYS BILATERAL RELATIONS WITH LITHUANIA ARE EXCELLENT

On 8 July 2014 Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Darius Degutis met with Speaker of the Israeli Knesset Y.-Y. Edelstein and with the Chairman of the Knesset Group for Interparliamentary Relations with Lithuania Y. Razvozov.
During the meeting the situation in Israel and the region was discussed, and the views on how to limit the escalation of the security situation were exchanged. Y. - Y. Edelstein said that Israel does not seek an escalation of the conflict; however, it is essential to ensure the security of its citizens. Therefore, the Hamas attacks against Israel will not remain without a proper response.
The Speaker of the Knesset said that bilateral Lithuanian-Israeli relations are excellent and cover all areas of cooperation.
