THE BIGGEST ISRAELI CHILDREN‘S HOSPITAL INVITES LITHUANIAN SPECIALISTS FOR COOPERATION
Israel's biggest „Schneider Children's Medical Center“ calls for joint projects with Lithuanian children doctors. Heads of the hospital are also ready to accept interns from Lithuania. Such cooperation, as hospital’s director prof. Joseph Press said during the meeting with Ambassador D. Degutis, is based on the exchange basis - Israeli experts are ready to accomplish a period of training in Lithuania.
Prof. J. Press was born Lithuania and graduated medicine studies in Kaunas, he speaks Lithuanian perfectly and maintains close ties with Lithuania. There are even more specialists of Lithuanian origin among the other heads of the hospital and doctors. Prof. J. Press introduced “Schneider Children's Medical Center's” activities, its unique operations and one of the most advanced medical science and research center in Israel. The medical center owes its establishment and name to its founders and major benefactors, the Schneider family from USA, who donated about 100 million U.S. dollars for its construction.
