Both looking forward to tomorrow- as late Shimon Peres wished – to striving and vibrant societies full of innovation and know-how but always true to their historical roots….Let’s study the past – not forget, not forgive – but at the same time continue to go from darkness to the light.”
Following the ambassador, Tzipi Hotovely, the Israeli Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed the audience. She stressed the influence of the Lithuanian Jewish community and its important place in Jewish history. Vice-Minister also mentioned the dynamic partnership of Lithuanian-Israeli relationship based on shared values.
