THE ISRAELI OPERA OPENS ITS SEASON WITH RICHARD STRAUSS'S OPERA SALOMÉ PRESENTED BY THE LITHUANIAN NATIONAL OPERA'S COMPANY

On 18 November The Israeli Opera opens its new season by Richard Strauss’ opera „Salomé“ presented by the Lithuanian National Opera.
 
130 Lithuanian artists’ company consisting of soloists, choristers and members of the orchestra came to Tel Aviv to perform „Salomé“.
 
The opera  „Salomé“  is directed by famous American director David Alden, the main role of Salomé is played by the leading Lithuanian opera’s soloist  Sigutė Stonytė and dramatic Finnish-Canadian soprano Eilana Lappalainen. The opera „Salomé“ will be performed by Lithuanian National Opera company in the Israeli Opera eight times.
 
To the premiere performance the Embassy of Lithuania in Tel Aviv invited the Israeli politicians, businessmen, journalists and the representatives of diplomatic corps residing in Israel.
 
The Lithuanian production of „Salomé“ already attracted much attention of Israeli media.
