THE VISIT TO HECHAL SHLOMO CENTER FOR JEWISH HERITAGE

On 6 January 2010 Ambassador D.Degutis visited Hechal Shlomo Center for Jewish heritage in Jerusalem. D.Degutis got acquainted with the exposition dedicated to heritage of Lithuanian Jews, specifically Vilna Jews.

During the meeting with director of the Hechal Shlomo Center Sh.Keinam, further cooperation between Embassy and the Center were discussed, as well as a possibility to present the exposition of the museum in Lithuania.

Ambassador presented to the Center the album of the photographs of synagogues in Lithuania „Sounds of silence“.
