VISIT TO EUPOL COPPS

In 2006 European Union together with the Palestinian Authority launched an EUPOL COPPS (EU Police Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support) program. The aim of the program is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law. The mission is composed of 63 EU representatives, between them a Lithuanian officer – Artūras Šimelionis.  The current head of the mission is from Sweden.

Ambassador D. Degutis visited mission’s headquarters in Ramallah and acquainted himself with its activities and achievements, which are highly valued by the Palestinian Authority and Israeli administration.
